We took photos of angles that the tail light LEDs are set at. These were taken in daylight with the camera aperture closed down, so you can see the angle effect. In the photos it looks like there might only be one light on, when in actuality all five LED lights were on. This shows the focus points of the LEDs. Click on the above thumb photos to see them larger.

We tested one of these bicycle tail lights and it is one of the brightest bicycle tail lights we have seen. When they say bright LEDs, they mean High Intensity! If you look directly into one of the LEDs while holding the light, it is like seeing a camera flash go off.

The instructions say that there are two settings: Steady and Flashing.  The unit we tested had several flashing settings that made us think they looked like a mini emergency vehicle light bar.
